Job Description:

Specification of Core Function The Business Management & Strategy Director will manage the PMO, business support, strategy implementation and governance elements of the COO function relevant to the LATAM region. This includes driving the effective structuring and delivery of strategic projects and initiatives across the region (including business cost management program), developing and overseeing an effective governance framework, and provide operating leverage to the COO relevant to accomplishing cross-functional initiatives and change objectives across the organization by leveraging the IT, Operations, Change Management and Business Intelligence areas. Tasks and ResponsibilitiesGovernance and Business Support- Schedule executive committees, prepare materials such as meeting packages and agenda, and create and distribute minutes respective of each executive meeting- Drive the resolution of open action items identified within executive meetings - Serve as a communication arm to committee members by facilitating key departmental updates, report development, talking points, and action items to raise in various executive meetings- Drive regional approval needs at all levels of the organization- Ensure new business tools and systems and processes are fully embedded within the organization and are being utilized by stakeholders; identify barriers to utilization and determine path to resolution- Develop presentations and MI to facilitate head office discussions and decisions relevant to LATAM matters- Review draft external audit reports and work with stakeholders and auditors to clarify/adjust any issues in the report, and prepare responses in line with regional protocols for review and approval by CEO or COO.- Track progress to closure of audit items and escalate any impediments or issues to COOPMO/Strategic Initiatives - Proactively manage the project portfolio to drive owners to properly scope, manage and execute our critical projects- Scope, develop and oversee strategic business initiatives through successful execution by collaborating with the designated PMs under the guidance of the COO - Collaborate with the COO and the senior management team in strategic planning, business objectives, policy and procedure development, and corporate decision-making- Liaise with senior leaders, management and department heads regarding key initiatives and reporting needs - Develop and align KPI's, projects, deliverables and key objectives across the organization to ensure targets are met and within budget- Drive organizational decision-making improvements by providing insights and making recommendations COO Organization- Develop and manage framework to ensure internal policies and procedures are effectively owned and deployed, are being met (or deviations approved through proper channels), and work to develop or improve existing processes related to such policies - Drive the mapping of department procedures across the organization and work within the COO function to provide metrics, workflows and improvements to provide transparency, efficiency and increased productivityBusiness Cost Management - Participate in vendor selection, help manage vendor relationships, help negotiate vendor contracts under guidance of COO- Drive adoption of fiscal management tools- Prepare reporting to head office regarding initiatives and tracking versus budget- Ensure availability of more automated reporting- Work with senior management and departmental managers to construct, manage and ensure budgets and costs within the organization are on target and deliverables are on time- Identify, propose and pursue cost savings opportunities within the organization Requirements- Bachelor's Degree required, Master's Degree preferred- Minimum ten years of previous work experience in operations or critical support area within the private banking and/or asset management industry- PMO and Business management skills, leadership skills, people management skills and high communications skills- Solid presentation capabilities (PPT, Vizio, etc).- Must have a solid knowledge in the organization's core systems - Strong verbal and written communication skills required
