Responsible for maintaining coded data quality through ongoing quality review and assessment of outpatient and inpatient records. Performs con-current audits on accuracy of APC, ASC or MSDRGs as well as on quality of medical record documentation needed for accurate coding. Prepares reports, identifies trends and takes appropriate actions in response. Works with HIM coding management in developing education and training for coders, clinical departments and/ or physicians for documentation improvement. Create consistency and efficiency in outpatient or inpatient claims processing and data collection to optimize APC, ASC, or DRG reimbursement and facilitate data quality in hospital outpatient or inpatient services ensuring regulatory compliance.Estimated salary range for this position is $20.73 - 25.00/ year depending on experience.Qualifications:High School Diploma, Certificate of Attendance, Certificate of Completion, GED or equivalent training or experience required. 2 years of experience.
