Job Description:
The Manager of Financial and Regulatory Reporting is responsible
for the overall management of financial and regulatory reporting
efforts across the organization. This includes ensuring year-end
financial statements and Form PF are successfully prepared and
reviewed utilizing both internal and external resources. Person can
work a hybrid role, out of our Miami office
Coordinate with service providers to ensure successful preparation
of annual financial statements and footnotes for the firm's fund
financial statements.
Review financial statements and ensure the integrity and timeliness
of all financial information being reported.
Preparation and review of regulatory reports including Form PF and
CIMA FAR. Leverage outsourcing options to the extent practical and
serve as key point of contact with any third party service
providers.
Documentation of reporting policies and procedures.
Draft accounting research memos on various topics as needed
(related to new accounting guidance and/or new investment
strategies/structures).
Assist with additional internal and external reporting asks as
needed.
Identify opportunities to enhance and streamline reporting
processes via automation; coordinate with fund accounting to ensure
data meets downstream reporting needs.
Education, Experience and Skills:
Undergraduate degree in Accounting/Finance and CPA license
preferred
Minimum of 7-10 years in public accounting. Experience in an
accounting role with a demonstrated track record of success in a
well-regarded public accounting firm and/or financial services
company. Asset management industry experience is preferred.
Solid understanding of generally accepted accounting principles and
a strong foundation in financial reporting.
Ability to document policies and procedures and research technical
accounting issues and document conclusions.
Ability to effectively communicate and interact with people at all
levels of the organization.
