Job Responsibilities

--- Compose and type routine or complex correspondence and reports from rough drafts, editing format, grammar and punctuation or spelling as needed.
--- Maintain departmental files, protecting sensitive company information and confidential records.
--- Perform various payroll related functions, including reviewing reports for accuracy and researching discrepancies.
--- Address manager, employee or visitor requests, questions and complaints, utilizing analysis of situation to determine best use of resources. Serve as liaison between the individual and various department staff.
--- Establish, maintain and when necessary, revise department filing system.
--- Screen telephone calls and visitors, directing them to the appropriate persons. Exercise discretion with regards to visitors, callers, and request for information. Provide information to all callers and visitors, including management and key external sources utilizing a comprehensive knowledge of company policies, practices and operations.
--- Perform a broad range of administrative details of a highly confidential nature on a regular basis, utilizing initiative and judgment to make independent decisions for which errors could result in unnecessary costs.
--- Maintain calendar for the department managers as needed, regularly arranging for meetings, conferences, and appointments.
--- Open and review mail directed to the department. Compose responses to routine inquiries; assign items to appropriate persons and forward appropriate items to the department director or managers.
--- Follow up on all items assigned to individuals as to status, expected completion date and outcome.
--- Conduct research on a wide variety of subjects as requested.
--- Record minutes of meetings and distribute to appropriate personnel.
--- Maintain a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment within area of responsibility.
--- Ensure prompt and discrete notification to senior management and or The Human Resources
--- Department of any observation of illegal acts and/or internal ethics violations.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Education

High school diploma or GED

Skills and Experience (Essential)

--- At least 18 years of age
--- Profricient Microsoft Office
--- Must be able to speak, read and write English
--- Must be able to work well under pressure while retaining tact and composure when resolving guest complaints
--- Strong time management skills and multi-tasking abilities
