Description

Responsible for day-to-day clerical functions in the medical office which may include answering the phones, check-in, check-out, charge entry, insurance verification and scheduling patient appointments. Ensures patient medical records are ready for the clinic and that all pertinent billing information has been captured. Communicates effectively with patients, co-workers, office manager and physician(s). Practices the Baptist Health philosophy of service excellence in providing professional, compassionate and friendly service to patients, physicians and each other. Estimated pay range for this position is $15.00 - $18.15 / hour depending on experience.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma, Certificate of Attendance, Certificate of Completion, GED or equivalent training or experience required. Detail-oriented, organized, team player, compassionate, excellent customer service, good verbal and written skills, knowledge of computer applications- EMR experience a plus. Good typing skills. Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. High ethical standards, HIPAA Privacy & Security compliance required. Bilingual preferred Minimum Required Experience: Less than 1 year.
