Job Description:

We are looking for a Senior Graphic Designer to join our Marketing team. Our ideal candidate will possess strong design skills, creative thinking and has the ability to perform at a high level within a fast-paced environment. Must be adept at reviewing creative briefs in order to lead and execute design for all global marketing initiatives, print and digital, from concept to completion. A hands-on creative with proficiency in design layout, typography, illustration, photography manipulation and multimedia software. This position requires problem-solving abilities to a degree where each design project is not seen in isolation, but rather the bigger picture in a creative campaign in order to be implemented across all global markets and all mediums. It also requires excellent teamwork interaction skills both verbal and written.Key Responsibilities ? Design consumer and trade promotional materials from concept to completion (press-ready), including full-color flyers, self-mailers, brochures, postcards and print advertising; etc. ? Design in-house documentation materials, corporate stationary and letterheads and on-board materials; ? Prepare all print specifications and ensure they are aligned with budget and project requirements as submitted by project managers. ? Coordinate projects with various printers, as necessary, approve and correct color proofs, bluelines and attend press checks, as necessary. ? Plans concept by studying information and reference materials. ? Prepares mockups on request for specified projects. ? Maintains technical knowledge by attending design workshops; reviewing professional publications; participating in professional societies ? Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed ? Organize and move projects along seamlessly through the work process from start to completion ? Provide daily communications and status updates to the Traffic Manager and Creative Director ? Proofread and spellcheck all projects throughout duration of project ? Standardize creative efficiencies across all channels and markets to minimize production costs and duplication efforts. ? Assist with file transfers and images requests as needed. ? Perform special projects as requestedEducation A degree in Graphic Design or Visual Communicating ArtsYears of experience ? 3-5 years of experience as Senior Graphic Designer ? 1+ years of Pre-Press and Press Room experience ? Agency and/or Luxury brands experience is a plusRequirementsEssential qualifications and skills ? Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite with emphasis on Adobe Indesign ? MS Office; MS Powerpoint and Keynote fluency ? Strong conceptual skills and creative brief interpretation ? Strong design style, including creative design solutions ? Extensive knowledge of publishing including content and pagination principles and multiple-page layout and design ? Strong knowledge of direct mail design and execution ? Excellent typography skills and fluent using style sheets ? Strong understanding of printing and pre-press terminology and principles ? Knowledge of collecting, uploading, downloading and transmitting digital files to internal and external teams ? Knowledgeable of various papers, inks and varnishes and how they relate to graphic design in the luxury market? Understanding of and experience in corporate branding and guidelines and how to implement effectively across all mediums ? Has demonstrated successful design execution and the delivery of projects on time and within the given budget ? Ability to effectively manage multiple projects/tasks of varying complexities, meet hard deadlines and work well under pressure ? Ability to work independently and capable of managing fairly complex projects ? Must be extremely detailed-oriented and have solid organizational skills ? Clear sense of integrity, work ethic and interest in building relationships based upon competency and trust ? Calm demeanor and the ability to succeed in a fast pace environment ? Must be able to handle constructive criticism and feedback ? Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills to keep key project leaders apprised of project status and manage expectations of different marketing personnel's project timelines given department resources
