JMH employees* Position Summary: The Clinical Education Coordinator
is responsible for providing organizational, clinical, and
educational leadership for the division and inpatient unit. This
position assumes the role as leader in planning and managing
unit-based Nurse Educators for the development, coordination, and
delivery of clinical education to all levels of inpatient clinical
staff based upon regulatory/accreditation requirements to support
competency, competency, and mission-based performance. This
position will support the implementations of clinical projects and
improvement initiatives. The Clinical Education Coordinator plays a
crucial role in assisting the Associate Director of Clinical
Education with strategic operations of the Clinical Education
department, conducting staff meetings, and all other
responsibilities, in addition to unit level education related
responsibilities. The Clinical Education Coordinator is
knowledgeable of hospital policies and procedures, regulatory
requirements, and patient care standards. Duties &
Responsibilities: Serves as a clinical expert/consultant within
area of expertise for the leadership team in the division and unit
level. Provides direction and oversight for nurse educators to
design education programs and trainings using creative and
innovative teaching strategies. Manage team of nurse educators and
oversee educators' ongoing competency development. The Lead Nurse
Educator works to improve employee engagement through
collaboration; holds direct reports accountable, meets one on one
with nurse educators, and frequently acknowledges team members for
great performance. Mentors others and acts as a role model for
professionalism. Ensures educator coverage for assigned areas.
Reviews, and approves time cards and timely Kronos edits.
Understands and maintains compliance with all regulatory and JHS
policy and procedures. Collaborate with nursing leadership and
nurse educators to plan professional development programs for the
staff including orientation and onboarding. Leads in
operationalization of education plans to support implementation of
initiatives and strategies including participation in strategic and
operational decision-making processes, at the divisional,
departmental and hospital levels. Demonstrates clinical and
professional leadership by promoting use of research and
evidence-based practice. Coordinates education support for project
implementation, product trial, product implementation, initiatives,
new policies, and revision of policies. Actively participates in
department, hospital and system wide committees, taskforce, and
initiatives. Participate in relevant accreditation readiness.
Demonstrates and role models behaviors of service excellence and

Performs other related duties as assigned.
QualificationsExperience: Generally requires 5 to 7 years of
related experience.Education: Bachelor's degree in Nursing is
required. Master's degree is strongly preferred.License
Certification: Valid Florida RN license is required. American Heart
Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers
certification with at least 6 months validity required. Must meet
and maintain valid and current all unit specific and organizational
skills/competencies, certifications/licensures, as required by
regulatory and/or nursing standard of practice for the
specialty.Knowledge Skill Abilities: Ability to analyze, organize
and prioritize work accurately while meeting multiple deadlines.
Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form.
Ability to handle difficult and stressful situations with critical
thinking and professional composure. Ability to understand and
follow instructions. Ability to exercise sound and independent
judgment. Knowledge and skill in use of job appropriate technology
and software applications. Skill in monitoring/assessing the
performance to make improvements or take corrective action. Skill
in using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and
weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to
problems. Ability to plan, implement, and evaluate programs.
Ability to establish goals and objectives. Ability to recognize,
analyze, and solve a variety of problems.Physical Demands: Job
function may require extended standing or walking. Must be able to
carry objects weighing 21 to 50 pounds. Able to lift or move
objects weighing 51 to 100 pounds with the use of appropriate
devices. Jobs in this group require frequent visual acuity to
perform activities related to extended use of computers. Additional

Possible exposure to various environments such as: communicable
diseases, toxic substances, medicinal preparations and other
conditions common to a hospital and medical office environment. May
