Clinical Nurse Education leads the educators in organizing entity
learning efforts, to include rolling out system-wide learning
initiatives, for staff development in defined areas of patient care
services. This individual leads the education team in establishing
relationships with key stakeholders; including Nursing Leadership
and unit and department based clinicians. Develops, executes and
evaluates learning initiatives in partnership with department based
clinicians which support the organization's mission, vision, and
strategies. Organizes, communicates and deploys annual required
education and staff development programs and processes as needed.
In addition, the Manager, Nursing Education leads the educators in
supporting and maintaining systematic ongoing assessment of
competencies to ensure that the hospital continues to meet all
regulatory requirements.Qualifications: Masters degree in Nursing
(MSN) from an accredited school of nursing required. Minimum 5
years of clinical nursing experience in area of specialty within a
healthcare organization. Preferred 2 years managerial experience
required with primary responsibility for education, and including
budgetary responsibility. Evidence of ability to draw on knowledge
from the following areas: Clinical practice guidelines, standards,
and best practices, evidenced-base nursing, healthcare education
evaluation and outcome measures. Experience with assessing learning
needs and working with groups to solve competency problems.
Excellent platform/presentation skills. Ability to organize events
and projects and direct others. Knowledge of regulatory agency
requirements. Strong attention to detail. Ability to work well with
others. Ability to lead and motivate others. Work flexibility. Good
organization and planning skills.
