We are one of the largest private employers in Miami-Dade County; home to more than 16,000 faculty and staff from all over the world.Assistant Professor of Clinical:---The Division of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at The University of Miami Miller school of medicine, Miami, Florida, invites applicants for a full-time, Clinician-Educator track position, available at the level of Assistant Professor.---Responsibilities include didactic/clinical teaching and supervision of OMFS residents, providing direct patient care as part of the faculty practice - including on-call coverage, participation in research, and other collaborative activities.---Candidates must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills; display initiative, a positive attitude, flexibility, demonstrate a commitment to the department's mission; and hold themselves to the highest standards of ethical and professional conduct.------Eligible candidates must have completed a CODA-accredited advanced education program in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, be board-certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (ABOMS) or be eligible for Board certification.In addition, candidates must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents. Applicants are also required to have aDDS or DMD and be licensed to practice dentistry and medicine in a state,---territory---or commonwealth of the United States.---This is a salaried position with a potential bonus and with a generous benefit and retirement program. Academic appointment and salary will be commensurate with experience.---Primary Duties and Responsibilities:This individual will promote the mission of UHealth in achieving its role in providing medical education, research, and quality patient care.---This individual will provide Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery services at the University of Miami Hospital System, Jackson Health System, and the Miami VAMC.This individual is responsible for clinical care in the full scope of oral maxillofacial surgery as well as working in collaboration with other providers in the Department of Surgery and other Departments affiliated with the University of Miami Medical Group.This individual will be involved in resident supervision/education at the University of Miami/Jackson Health System and the Miami Veteran's Administration Hospital.
