Education Teacher - 2025-2026 Family Church is a growing network of
neighborhood churches and Classical Christian schools in South

while building His Kingdom! School Age Physical Education Teacher –
10-month position Position Overview As an education professional,
you will help shape future Christian leaders who will advance God’s
church, community, and His Kingdom on earth. This position
implements a classical Christian curriculum that involves a love
for ancient wisdom, instilling virtue, connecting Christ to every
subject, and developing world class rhetorical skills. The ideal
candidate will work closely with their team and director to create
a vibrant classical school culture in assemblies, chapels, and in
the classroom. Reports to: Head of School Qualifications - Evidence
of strong Christian faith and values and acknowledgement of the
School’s Statement of Faith and Staff Leadership Covenant. -
Bachelor’s degree in physical education. Master’s degree preferred.
Teaching Certificate in subject area preferred or evidence of
enrollment in an accredited university state approved teacher
preparation program within three years of hire date. - Evidence of
knowledge of physical education curriculum and the ability to
implement it. - Ability to interact collaboratively with staff,
students, parents, and Administration. - Excellent oral and written
skills. - Must pass drug test, fingerprinting, and Level 2
background check. Skills - Excellent communication, both written
and oral. - Decision making. - Commitment to school’s vision and
mission. - Classroom leadership. - Organized. - Critical thinking
skills. - Flexible. - Teamwork. - Able to get up and down from the
floor or small chairs multiple times a day. - Able to lift 25-50
pounds multiple times a day. - Able to handle moderate to high
stress levels. - Excellent integrity and demonstrates ability to
model strong Christian character in their life to others.
Responsibilities - Teach knowledge and skills to students utilizing
the course of study prescribed by the approved curriculum. - Design
projects that meet students with varying intellectual abilities,
and to accommodate a variety of instructional needs. - Write lesson
plans that meet the goals as set forth by Administration. -
Promote, model, and expect safety in all aspects of the physical
education (P.E.) curriculum and all interactions. - Foster
sportsmanship, respect, and fair play. - Promote physical fitness
and healthy lifestyle through additional means to support the P.E.
curriculum and the school’s mission. - Follow Policies and
Procedures as set forth by Administration. - Provide a clean, safe,
and nurturing teaching environment. - Participate in all school
meetings, trainings, and orientations. - Complete all in-service
hours on time. - Turn in all required paperwork on time. -
Cooperate in school-wide supervision of students during
out-of-school activities. - Maintain appropriate records for
students. - Establish and maintain standards for acceptable student
behavior using appropriate techniques. - Ensure the safety and
health of all students, notifying the administration of any unsafe
conditions or equipment malfunction. - Create a stimulating,
organized, functional, healthy, and safe program for each age
group. - Strive to continuously build knowledge and skills, share
expertise with others. - All other duties as assigned.
