You will be responsible for automating the vulnerability management, security configuration compliance monitoring process tasks. The Role of the Information Security Automation Engineer will be part of a team that is responsible for engineering solutions and providing operational automation support for tools used. The engineer will be part of a team that will work closely with key stakeholders within vulnerability management and security configuration compliance monitoring teams and provide project support.Major Responsibilities:Responsible for providing governance, guidance, and setting priorities for risk-based vulnerability management, mitigation and remediationDevelop and present business cases to Management to improve security posture to effectively mitigate advanced threatsOnboard the assets for target technologies in enterprise security toolCreate required authentication records for target technology assets in enterprise security toolSchedule and perform vulnerability management scan and troubleshot issues if neededCreate custom reports and deliver to the technology ownersWork with technology owners to track and maintain exception processSetup and maintain KPIs for metricsResponsible for maintaining appropriate documentation that defines the Vulnerability Management Program, Policy and ProceduresGather requirements for automation opportunities, brainstorm and implement solution leveraging scripting, integration API's etc.Drive operational efficiency by automating manual process tasks proactively.QualificationsB.S., Computer Science or other advanced degree in related field, preferred2+ years' experience in information technology with emphasis on information security is requiredExperience in the banking or finance industries preferredAble to work independently on tasks, but also work well within a team environmentExcellent communication skills and able to adapt to the audienceProven expertise deploying one of the commercial container security products and closing the gaps through development, automation, API integrations, and researching and closing vulnerabilities via patching.Advanced expertise in securing containerized workloadsProficient with language like python.Familiarity with development using RESTful APIs ( Application programming interface).Familiarity with microservice and service mesh architecture.Familiarity of advanced iterative Agile methodologies.-Any of the following are a plus but not necessary; CISSP, (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) CCSP (Certified Cloud Security Professional), CKS (Certified Kubernetes Security Specialist)The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed.
