Job Description:
Overview
Our West Palm Beach Surface Transportation team is seeking a
Drainage Engineer to perform drainage engineering and project
managemnt tasks for large and small-scale, public and private
transportation projects.
Responsibilities
The candidate will develop concepts, preliminary engineering and
final design for FDOT, municiple, and local agency projects. In
addition to strong technical experience, other responsibilities
will include research, coordination, project management, staff
management and mentoring, cost estimating, permitting and
preparation of bid packages as well as technical
specifications.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
P.E. License
Municipal roadway drainage design experience required, FDOT
experience desirable
Working knowledge of local agency and FDOT design standards and
specifications
Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external
partners including clients, sub-consultants, and utility
companies
Experience preparing final design plans, specifications, and
construction cost estimates
Good problem-solving and technical writing skills
Proficent in AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or MicroStation
Working knowledge of ESRI ArcGIS (ArcHydro experience a plus),
ICPR4, HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS (1D and 2D), and SWMM
