Job Description and Responsibilities
ABOUT THE JOB: The primary role of the Mechanical Integrity
Engineer is to manage the activities necessary to ensure that
equipment/assets are designed, fabricated, installed, operated and
maintained in a way that provides the desired performance in a
safe, environmentally protected, and reliable fashion.
The M.I. Engineer will improve asset/capacity reliability through
the elimination of repetitive failures, technical support of the
maintenance function and the management of appropriate inspections
and maintenance processes.
The M.I Engineer will apply her/his expertise in the areas of
inspection and repair of pressure vessels, aboveground storage
tanks, equipment reliability, corrosion, mechanics, in the effort
of reducing capital and maintenance costs.
Act as an advisor to the production departments, providing
proactive leadership, direction, single point accountability and
technical expertise required to achieve and sustain optimum
reliability, maintainability, and useful life for sugar
manufacturing assets.
