Job Description:

Our Opportunity:
As a SeniorBackendEngineer at RBI, you willdevelop NodeJS applicationsrunning on AWS Lambda forour consumer applications across all our brands in multiple regions, whichservetens ofmillionsof users and process hundreds of thousands of daily orders.You will work with your scrum team's product owner to define solutionsfor our developing business needsand oversee the completion of key initiatives. You will also be responsible for helping to defineour platform architecture andformentoring more juniorengineers.
Responsibilities:
Develop NodeJS applications in TypeScripton AWS Lambda
Work with a scrum team toship new product features
Help define platform architecture and best practices
Provide detailed and constructive design and code reviews
Basic Requirements:
5+ yearsof experience designing and engineering large-scale production systems
Familiarity with serverless technology like AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or other cloud offerings
Knowledge of both relational and non-relational database systems and their tradeoffs in practice
Ability toindependentlydefinetechnicalsolutionsfrombusiness requirements
Strong communication skills with technical and non-technical audiences
PreferredRequirements:
2+ years of professional experience with NodeJS
2+ years of professional experience with AWS
Experience withGraphQL
Experience with NoSQL databases like DynamoDB
Experience with Serverless framework
Experience with infrastructure as code tools like Terraform
