Simulator Projects and Portfolio Senior Manager Company: The
Boeing Company The Boeing Global Services (BGS) Commercial Training
Solutions (CTS) Campus Operations is seeking a Simulator Portfolio
and Projects Senior Manager to integrate cross functional teams
including Campus Ops, Simulator Engineering, New Airplane Programs,
Learning Design, Flight Training, Strategy, Business Development
and Sales to both prepare and execute plans for CTS’ Flight
Training Device portfolio to include configuration updates of the
existing portfolio as well as future devices and locations. This
position can be located in Miami, FL or Seattle, WA and will be
accountable for long-term capital planning, strategic portfolio
management, and execution of discrete training device updates and
placements across the global network. Entry into this
classification is limited to candidates approved by the
enterprise-wide Program Management Process Council or its designee.
Position Responsibilities: Duties will include (but are not limited
to): Lead strategic portfolio management for the CTS Flight
Training Device (FTD) network, including lifecycle planning,
prioritization, and roadmap development for configuration updates,
new device acquisitions, and geographic placement. Develop and
maintain the long?term capital plan for simulator investments,
producing multi?year cost estimates, ROI analyses, funding
requests, and scenario plans to support executive decision making.
Define and drive project scopes, schedules, budgets and resource
plans for discrete training device updates, relocations and new
site buildouts; hold accountable project managers and
cross?functional leads to deliverables and milestones. Serve as the
single point of accountability for integration across Campus Ops,
Simulator Engineering, New Airplane Programs, Learning Design,
Flight Training, Strategy, Business Development and Sales to ensure
technical, operational and commercial alignment. Lead selection,
contracting, and technical oversight of suppliers and vendors for
simulator hardware, software, and installation services; ensure
supplier performance, compliance and delivery to schedule and cost
targets. Translate technical requirements into executable
implementation plans for configuration updates (software, visual
systems, avionics emulation, instructor stations), ensuring
compatibility with Boeing and customer type?ratings and training
syllabi. Coordinate site selection and readiness activities for new
or relocated devices, including facilities requirements, utilities,
HVAC, structural, security, and training center operations
readiness. Establish and manage risk, issues and change control
processes for portfolio projects; develop mitigation strategies and
escalate critical risks to senior leadership with recommended
resolutions. Prepare and deliver high?impact briefings and decision
packages to senior leaders, stakeholders and governance bodies
(Program Management Process Council or designee), using clear
cost/schedule/performance data and recommendations. Own budget
stewardship and financial tracking for portfolio activities,
including forecasting, variance analysis, capital spend tracking,
and reforecasting; support business cases and internal approvals.
Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) and success
metrics for the simulator portfolio (availability, utilization,
project delivery performance, cost per device) and report regularly
to stakeholders. Drive continuous improvement initiatives across
processes (project execution, supplier management, commissioning)
to increase efficiency, reduce cycle time, and improve quality of
deliverables. Ensure technical solutions and installations meet
regulatory, customer, and Boeing quality and safety standards;
coordinate with certification and compliance functions as needed.
Recruit, develop and manage a small, cross?disciplinary team or
matrixed resources; provide coaching, performance feedback,
workforce planning and succession readiness. Act as customer and
sales interface for technical and operational aspects of FTD
placement and upgrades; support pre?sales scoping, proposals and
contract negotiations as required. Facilitate knowledge transfer
and standardization across global CTS campuses to reduce
duplication and accelerate device deployment and commissioning.
Travel as required to domestic and international sites for site
assessments, supplier audits, factory acceptance tests,
installation oversight and stakeholder engagement (frequency
variable based on program needs). Maintain eligibility and
compliance with enterprise Program Management Process Council
classification requirements and participate in governance reviews
and approvals. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): 5
years of project management experience Experience briefing senior

(Desired Skills/Experience): Engineering or Business Administration
degree Experience with Boeing flight simulators 1 years management
