We are proud to serve the best retailers around the globe with a complete end-to-end service from design to distribution.The Director of Operations will be the "right hand" to the APP CEO, allowing the APP CEO hand off ownership for day to day operations so he can focus on strategic growth and exit the day to day operations.The Director of Operations will be responsible for overseeing APP's daily business activities and proper execution of business plans through internal APP staff, leveraged DGA staff and third parties.--This person will also focus on ensuring that procedures are carried out properly, evaluating the efficiency of processes to drive productivity, and setting the organization up for success as it aims to double its revenue and increase the number of employees in the next 3 - 5 years. This position will be based in APP's headquarters in Miami, reporting to the CEO. Some domestic and international travel will be required.--What can we offer you?

    • Oversee the execution of programs from order to delivery by tracking progress and working with subject matter experts to resolve issues that arise.
    • Work with the DGA sourcing organization to ensure that all products meet testing and compliance requirements for CPSC.
    • Manage the day to day needs of the business and staff, including acting as the "go to person" for questions and the "gatekeeper" for what items need to be escalated to the CEO
    • Work collaboratively with other DGA functions/subject matters experts to understand the required business processes and to resolve problems in an expedient and appropriate manner.
    • Directly manage the Office Administration, Asia Merchandising, Finance and Design functions.
    • Ensure the office is complaint with employment laws, safety requirements, and HR policies and procedures (in partnership with DGA HR).
    • Establish the right level of infrastructure and processes needed to support the business through rapid revenue growth
    • Establish metrics, analyze data, conduct correction of errors processes, and implement improvement plans to increase the overall efficiency of APP operationsQualifications:
      • 10+ years of experience in a similar type role
      • MBA is a plus
      • Must have experience working for a company that imports consumer products sold into mass retail stores
      • Experience in the toy industry desirable
      • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
      • Strong collaboration skills/able to build relationships across the organization
      • Demonstrated experience driving business process improvement
