Job Family ADMIN - Professional Exempt Contractual (PEC) Grade T5 Salary $109, 612 - $137,015 Department Business Solutions Reports To Associate Vice Provost, Enterprise Business Solutions Closing Date FLSA Status Exempt - Not Eligible for Overtime Compensation First Review Date December 29, 2020 Job Summary The Director of PeopleSoft Applications is responsible for the day to day management and support of the PeopleSoft HR, Finance and Campus Solutions/Student Systems. This position draws on experience and/or expert resources with in-depth knowledge of the business to provide college-wide solutions, by managing complex, multi-faceted ERP software applications including the integrations to other custom and/or COTS systems. The position directs and manages the development and deployment of secured and high availability information systems to mitigate risk, maintain continuity of operations and safeguard MDC's information assets. The Director PeopleSoft Applications provides leadership and expertise and assists in developing and managing a future PeopleSoft Center of Excellence at Miami Dade College.--This is a Professional Exempt Contractual (PEC) position for which an annual contract reflecting the base salary within the fiscal year (July 1st to June 30th) will be issued after ratification by Miami Dade College's District Board of Trustees. Duties & Responsibilities ---Provides day to day leadership to a team of HR, Finance or Campus Solutions/Student system (production support) ERP Analysts--
---Develops and implements IT processes in asset management, change management, incident management and configuration management--
---Oversees and manages the performance of production environments; ensures maximum issue resolution in minimum time--
---Leads the management and integration of ERP software applications--
---Ensures that projects can deliver the benefits outlined in the business processes and meet reasonable expectations--
---Provides leadership in the technical assessment, selection, and implementation of new technologies for MDC; suggests changes to existing products or services to better assist the end user--
---Leads the development and implementation of standard operating procedures and policies with an emphasis on maintaining and ensuring operation continuity and security of the College's information assets--
---Supervises, coaches and mentors direct reports--
---Oversees stakeholder management and communications--
---Consults and provides expertise on complex end user issues
---Sets expectations for and actively fosters constructive problem solving and collaboration between MDC Information Technology team members at all levels--
---Leads college-wide IT disaster recovery and business resumption planning, testing, and implementation pertaining to information systems.--
---Serves as a member on college-wide IT emergency response team--
---Performs other duties as assigned--
-- ---Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a closely related field
---Minimum nine (9) years of progressive experience in managing PeopleSoft ERP--
---Four (4) years of supervisory responsibility managing midsize to large IT teams--
---All degrees must be from a regionally accredited institution
---Knowledge and understanding of College organization, goals and objectives, and policies and procedures--
---Broad PeopleSoft techno-functional experience in assigned HR, Finance or Campus Solutions applications--
---Broad IT computing and infrastructure knowledge and the ability to proactively gather and recommend relevant changes--
---In-depth knowledge in software development methodologies
---Knowledge of national and industry offerings and trends pertaining to design, development and support of enterprise applications--
---Knowledge of national and industry security standards and best practices pertaining to secure design, configuration and development of enterprise applications--
---Knowledge of ITIL processes including asset management, configuration management, incident management and change management--
---Knowledge of IT performance matrix pertaining to enterprise applications
---Ability to assess performance and recommend new measures to improve performance--
---Ability to understand both the simple straightforward processes that represent the simplest business tasks to the most complex--
---Possess excellent project management skills with proven track record--
---Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills--
---Ability to analyze, understand and effectively communicate between business requirements and technical design--
---Possess effective problem-solving, negotiation, and decision-making skills to influence management as well as internal and external partners--
---Ability to demonstrate highly effective, productive and motivational leadership skills--
---Ability to routinely travel and work flexible extended hours--
---Ability to work with many individuals and populations both one-on-one and in very large groups--
---Ability to work well in a multi-ethnic and multi-cultural environment with students, faculty and staff--
