Summary: The Assistant Manager's purpose is to learn all aspects of YouFit Health Clubs business in order to become a successful General Manager. They will assist the General Manager in the oversight of all gym operations.Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Oversight of all gym operations in your YouFit location when the General Manager is unavailable.Contributing to all revenue generating goals, including but not limited to: Retail, Membership, and Personal TrainingCollaborate with the General Manager to establish, monitor and evaluate facility goals such as sales performance for both membership and personal training, cleanliness scores, retention, team turnover, membership add-ons and upgrades, customer service and outside marketing.Assist with all team guidance including but not limited to promotions, demotions, termination and Success Pathways.Assist with administrative responsibilities including evaluations, daily deposits, club inventory, maintaining all club electronic and manual logs, etc.Assist with creating and maintaining the team schedule according to YouFit standards, the club's needs and budgetary guidelines.Create additional traffic through external marketing and contribute to daily sales.Support company policies and marketing initiatives.Collaborate with the General Manager on Human Resources, facility, and payroll responsibilities.Understand Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and Profit and Loss (P&L) Statements in order to create strategies to effectively drive business.Must create and maintain an enjoyable and safe environment for all employees, members, and guests.Must be involved in team, facility, & escalated customer issues. Collaborate with the General Manager to establish, monitor and evaluate facility goals such as cleanliness scores, retention of members, team turnover, membership upgrades, customer service and special events for the club.Must be available and reachable by their team & YouFit management when the General Manager is unavailableMust be able to work a minimum of 36 hours per week and required to work every weekend.Schedule is based on club needs which are approved by the Regional Director.You will be required to have reliable transportation to and from work. You will also be required to travel within the immediate area of your location to complete weekly marketing requirements, travel to company meetings and events, and daily bank deposits.Requirements: At least 6 months' experience coaching and developing team membersKnowledge and training of a formal sales systemExperience in operations managementCommitment to ongoing training and developmentAbility to multitaskPossesses strong leadership skillsSelf motivated with a strong work ethicOutside marketing and business-to-business sales experienceProvide a professional customer experience as well as manage vendor relationshipsMust have a foundational understanding of fitness as well as a passion for helping othersPunctual, dependable, and positive in mannerProjects a professional and healthy image through dress, behavior and attitudeMust have the ability to maintain the Point of Sale system (POS)Ability to stand for extended periods of timeParticipate in the cleanliness of the facilityMust fulfill minimum production requirements every monthPhysical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a team member to successfully perform the essential functions of this role. While performing the duties of this role, the team member is regularly required to talk or hear.
