Manager, Food Safety Compliance
What the role is
Areas USA -is looking for a Manager, Food Safety Compliance are to
lead, develop and manage the business strategy and road map for
Area's food safety. In this role, your responsibilities will
include inspections, evaluations, and audits within the
environment.
This position will work closely with the Director, Supply Chain and
Procurement to ensure new projects comply with regulatory standards
and operations are compliant. The role will oversee food safety
(Eco Sure) certification program and act as a trainer/facilitator
to ensure appropriate managers and associates are trained in food
safety.

What you will be doing
You will ensure compliance: - Working closely with Director, you
will assist with the compliance of FDA Regulations including audits
to ensure adherence to food safety standards. Conduct or direct the
internal investigation of compliance issues and support all audits.
Manage periodic internal reviews or audits to ensure that
compliance procedures are followed. Perform vendor inspections to
verify that all work performed follows safety standards set forth
by OSHA. Remains abreast of regulatory changes, industry standards
and best practices; updates policies and procedures
accordingly.
You will implement & maintain: -In this role, you will create and
maintain the company's current SOPs, Checklists and HACCP Plan
e.g., written policies and procedures related to compliance
activities. You will maintain proper documentation through an
organized filing system. Assess food product, compliance, or
operational risks and develop risk management strategies with
collaboration of Risk Management. Required to maintain
documentation of compliance activities, such as complaints received
and/or investigation outcomes. Address emerging compliance issues
with leadership or associates.
What will make you successful in this role?
Experience with compliance focused management and knowledge of
state and federal food safety regulations.
Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and Power Point.
Intermediate skills are needed to be able to carry out research,
create reports, and to analyze data.
Ability to communicate effectively
HACCP Certification and Serve Safe Certification
Other Qualifications Include:
Associate and/or bachelor's degree in business or food science
preferred or a combination of education, experience and/or
training.
Minimum 3 years of experience in health safety analysis to include
the development, implementation, and monitoring of compliance
plans.
75% Travel to Areas locations across the United States.
