• Potential for advancementJob DetailsCurrently seeking a Plumbing Project Manager to join a large mechanical contractor in the Miami-Fort Lauderdale area. This position requires the experience and expertise to judge and ensure the quality of work and provide technical assistance while meeting schedule expectations. Responsibilities:
  • Manage, schedule, and plan complete commercial plumbing installation projects.
  • Inspect, advise and supervise the installation of projects from start to completion.
  • Maintain records and files, prepare reports, assign, and distribute work orders/requests.
  • Attend and participate in job meetings regarding work to be done and all Safety meetings.
  • Supervise employee's, ensuring Safety training requirements are current, required company policies are being followed.
  • Maintain open and positive communication with Trade Partners.
  • Manage Sub-contractors, ensure work done meets contract and company requirements.
  • Managing install crews and review schedules as necessary with the field to complete related work on simultaneous plumbing projects
  • Quality of plumbing projects being built on time and within budget.
  • Oversee all aspects of jobs, prior, during, and after construction
  • Develop and implement processes and procedures for the Plumbing division as required with ownership.
  • Keep up to date with current material pricing and labor factors for the Plumbing division
  • Experience in JOC (Job Order Contracting) is a plusRequirements:
    • Relevant Bachelor's degree, or 8+ years equivalent trade experience
    • Know relevant building codes, current legislation, regulations, policies and procedures for the installation and maintenance of commercial plumbing projects
    • Journeyman or master's license is a plus but not required
    • Ability to adapt successfully to changing conditions and handle multiple priorities
    • Operating knowledge of mechanical and plumbing systems and installation methods
    • Ability to read and interpret contract drawings and specifications
