TITLE: Software Engineering Manager
Location: REMOTE
Compensation Range : $170-180K

An ICS financial services client is seeking a Software Engineer Manager to join their team.
This is a very hands on management position, likely requiring at least 50% development on a day to day basis. Tech lead candidates ready to move into a management role will be considered. You will manage 3 engineers immediately and the team is expected to grow as the company scales.

In this position you will be starting from scratch and working to deliver an MVP by the end of the year. To be considered you must have seen a product through inception to production.

Tech stack is agnostic as of now but will likely move to Java or Python and AWS. Hands on experience working in a Microservice Architecture required.

This position will report directly to the CEO.

Day to day Responsibilities:

• 
  
• Server side programming in Java or Python
  
• Cloud Engineering in AWS
  
• Mentor the engineers under you. Be an integral part of hiring new engineers who will join your team
  
• Lead the team as they build a large-scale, Web based external platform
  
• Be a guiding force in designing and implementing architecture and new features.
  
• Building out microservices at scale.
  
  What Do You Need to Join our Team:
  
  
  • 
    
  • You have managerial experience in leading a software engineering team.
    
  • Proven software engineering skills in Java (JVM)/C++/Python)
    
  • Ability to work with stakeholders
    
  • Familiarity with FrontEnd languages like React or Angular
    
  • Proven experience building systems leveraging microservices or service-oriented architecture
