Job Description:
Personify, a nationally recognized and awarded recruiting firm,
is hiring an Area Sales Manager for our client, a leading
diversified diagnostics, life sciences and medical device company
serving global markets, based in Miami, FL . Job purpose The
development and management of the assigned area with the goal of
maximizing market share at the customer sites. Responsible for
identifying and developing business relationships within the
territory. The Area Manager will also have a defined Account
Manager area to develop the territory, account, and opportunity
plans to meet objectives and ensure customer satisfaction using
advanced customer and channel management tools. This position will
complement organization by being active with Key accounts, Visits
to these accounts, product review with Channel Partners and
customers. Support efforts of Regional Management as needed. The
area manager will also have account manager supervision to provide
coaching and development to increase customer market share.
Essential duties and responsibilities Achieves monthly, quarterly,
annual targets by:
- Respond to customer and channel sales requests within 24
hours.
- Regularly travel to client sites.
- Conduct product training for customers, channels, and
employees.
- Utilize CRM sales tools to manage the sales process.
- Prepare CRM weekly sales call reports and update data base as
required.
- Prepare pipeline sales report including open quotes and closed
quote status.
- Develop and understand Area customer plan, objectives and
proactively develop plans to achieve sales goals.
- Understand and address both business and scientific needs of
customer by engaging in meaningful dialog to determine customer
needs.
- Determine how we can address customer needs.
- Determine the best channel of distribution to meet customer
needs.
- Design and follow up on special quotations.
- Monitor competitors pricing, promotion strategy and report back
to Manager and Product Development Department.
- Customer feedback to our company.
- Prepare special pricing requests for large projects.
- Organize Lunch and Learns at Key Accounts for our solutions and
focused products and customer programs.
- Performs other related duties as assigned. Qualifications
- Bachelors' degree in science or relevant work experience.
- 3 years minimum direct Account management skills, managing
sales process through distribution channels.
- Account Management of capital Laboratory equipment or capital
purchases of equivalent products.
- Familiar with the market and businesses utilizing biomedical
capital equipment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills. Match equipment solutions to
customer needs.
- Selects best procedure for identifying the problem, and
modifying an existing solution, if necessary.
- Provides clear and written communications to sell products,
communicate facts, and answer questions
- Proficient in Computer skills i.e., Microsoft suite, CRM,
Outlook, excel PowerPoint and other relate mobile and computer
software,
- Communicates and demonstrated with one or more people at a time
in occasionally unpredictable contexts (e.g., meetings with
unfamiliar people), using a wide range of formats and styles, and
dealing with conflict when necessary.
- Must reside within the territory assigned.
- Must have a valid drivers' license. Working conditions and
physical requirements
- Must have a working home office conducive to conducting
business professionally on the telephone and computer with minimal
supervision.
- This position may require you to sit, stand or walk for
extended periods of time when visiting customers, in meetings
and/or at shows.
- May need to lift to 40 pounds and be able to move large lab
equipment that is on casters.
- Overnight travel maybe required.
