Oversees the daily operations and is responsible for the planning, development, and implementation of the utilization, case management and social work functions in accordance with departmental policies. Responsible to ensure delivery of high quality patient care with an appropriate length of stay, excellent resource utilization, and reimbursement for services rendered. Facilitates the safe movement of the patient through the acute phase of their stay while ensuring appropriate utilization of post-acute services. Serves as a resource to the hospital for utilization and social work issues through consultation.
Estimated salary range for this position is $91564.38 - $121780.63 / year depending on experience.Qualifications:Degrees:

Registered Nurse

Additional Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years supervisor management experience in a medical setting. Prior experience in case management or utilization management required ; certification required or obtained within 1 year. Knowledge of reimbursement principles, discharge planning process, TJC standards, infection control principles, InterQual and Milliman criteria. Advanced written, verbal and interpersonal skills. Assertive and diplomatic communication, team building problem resolution, and negotiation skills. Must be able to deal sensitively with coworkers, medical staff and community representatives. Computer experience in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel). Excellent organizational skills including effective time management, collaboration, priority setting and process improvement. Demonstrates leadership ability, initiative, professionalism and integrity.
