opportunity for a Project Manager. The Project Manager, Research
Support - SCCC Community, Outreach, and Engagement (COE) will be
responsible for carrying out tasks in accordance with all strategic
initiatives and objectives to fulfill the mission and vision of the
University of Miami and the Office of Community, Outreach, and
Engagement (COE) at the Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center
(Sylvester). Projects will be defined by Sylvester leadership
working collaboratively with the Director, Project Management
Office (Sylvester Research Administration). -The incumbent in this
position will be responsible for all aspects of the project life
cycle (initiation, planning, execution, control, and close). The
Project Manager will be responsible for assembling project teams,
assigning individual responsibilities, identifying appropriate
resources needed and developing schedules to ensure timely
completion of projects. The Project Manager takes projects from
original concept through final implementation-interfacing with all
areas affected by the project including end users, stakeholders and
vendors and ensures adherence to quality standards.Project
-Development -and -Management:1. Strong project management skills
with proven problem-solving abilities and experience with different
-project methodologies.2. Tracks -metrics -and -ROIs -on -all
-projects -and -is -able -to -report -on -them.3. Ability -to
-identify -needs -of -the -project -area -and -works -with
-director -to -build -budgets -and -forecast -needs.4. Prepares
-reports -and -analytics -for -external -and -internal
-constituents.5. Works with director to develop report schedules,
data repository and data tracking methods -to -support -decision
-making -operational -excellence -in -all -areas -of
-administration.6. Prior -project -management -experience.7.
Excellent -organizational, -communication -(oral -and -written),
-and -interpersonal -skills.8. Apply -project -management -skill
-set -as -needed.9. Superior -team -building -skills -and -ability
-to -collaborate -well -with -others.10. Ability -to -review -and

-interesting manner.12. Responsible for tracking and updating key
documents for review including Memorandums of -Understandings -and

-scheduling, -meeting -tracking -and -minute -taking.14. Monitors
the performance of the project team and ensures that assignments
are accomplished as -scheduled -and -according -to -specified
-objectives.15. Serves as liaison between technical and
non-technical teams and vendor/subcontractor -organizations, to
ensure all project targets and requirements are met.16. Monitors
the progress of project and notifies management of issues/risks and
assists in their -resolution.17. Pursues ways to improve operations
and provides management with productivity and status -reports.18.
Establishes and works on priorities, which meet the departmental
goals and objectives, and -identifies areas of continuous
improvement.19. Implements -an -action -plan -or -initiative -to
-achieve -goals -and -objectives.Research Support:1. Aids in the
evaluation of problems with workflow, organization, and planning
and develops appropriate -analytical -approaches.2. Maintains
-multiple -protocol -books -and -chronicles -manuscript
-preparation.3. Performs analyses of computerized datasets using
standard packages to import, update, and manipulate -datasets.4.
Presents -studies' -results -at -professional -scientific -meetings
-and -conferences.5. Writes -manuscripts -and -journal -articles
-for -peer-reviewed -medical -journals.6. Ensures -that -research
-program -objectives -are -communicated, -met, -and -results -are
-documented.7. Adheres -to -University -and -unit-level -policies
-and -procedures -and -safeguards -University
-assets.COREQUALIFICATIONSEducation: Bachelor's degree in relevant
fieldCertification and Licensing: PMP certification a
plusExperience: Minimum 3 years of relevant experience -Knowledge,
Skills and Attitudes:---Skill in collecting, organizing, and
analyzing data.---Ability to recognize,analyze, and solve a variety
of problems.---Ability to exercise sound judgment in making
