and Qualifications Manages the activity of the nursing unit.
Maintains responsibility for the overall management of the
department's daily operations to achieve quality improvement,
fiscal productivity and patient satisfaction goals and objectives
established in conjunction with the Hospital goals and objectives.
Maintains responsibility for staff performance and the
accomplishment of departmental responsibilities in accordance with
corporate, hospital, department and safety policies and procedures
to meet company and regulatory compliance. Maintains responsibility
for providing high quality patient care by acting as a liaison with
patients and their representatives, physicians and employees.
Maintains responsibility for the efficient operation of the
department and optimum use of resources to maximize productivity
and minimize costs. The Nurse Manager assumes the role of a leader
in planning, directing and managing the department and staff to
assure quality service on a 24 hour basis. He/she is responsible
for meeting TJC standards, complying with corporate policy and
procedures, managing supplies and equipment of the unit, promoting
teamwork with physicians and all healthcare providers, promoting
internal and external customer satisfaction and for appropriate
resource management. What qualifications you will need:
- Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 90 days of
employment start date
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 90 days of
employment start date
- Registered Nurse Florida
- Associate Degree Nursing
- 2 years related clinical nursing experience to include
supervisory preferredThis role requires you to be fully vaccinated
for COVID-19 based on local, state and /or federal law or
regulations (unless a medical or religious exemption is
approved).HCA Florida Mercy Hospital is a 488-bed facility. We are
accredited by the Joint Commission and offer a wide range of
medical specialties. These specialties include emergency care,
heart, and vascular care. We are designated by the Joint Commission
as a Primary Stroke Center. Other specialties include maternity and
neonatal care. We are a Level II NICU hospital. HCA Florida Mercy
Hospital is CARF accredited for inpatient rehabilitation. Our
facility offers a Comprehensive Community Cancer Program. This
program is accredited by the American College of Surgeons
Commission on Cancer. We are affiliated with HCA Florida Healthcare
Division. HCA Florida Mercy Hospital is sponsored by the Sisters of
St. Joseph of St. Augustine, Florida. We serve as Miami-Dade
