Join our collaborative team, dedicated to the pursuit of excellence in health and wellness.Cano Health offers competitive salaries, medical, dental & vision insurance, employee mental health program, paid time off, paid holidays, 401(k) with employer match, employee stock purchase program, tuition reimbursement and much more.The Vice President, Actuary will report directly to the Vice President of Revenue Accounting and is responsible for providing actuarial support across a broad range of actuarial and business needs including developing estimates of reserves required for unpaid claim liability, including incurred but not reported (IBNR) reserves for health plan risk contracts. The Actuary will also assist with the development of other reserve estimates, seasonality factors, and other actuarial items that ought to be established for various product lines. The Actuary will work closely and collaboratively with numerous areas including Accounting, Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A), Corporate Finance, and Legal.Responsibilities: Development of various monthly actuarial estimates including but not limited to unpaid claims liabilities, risk adjustments, etc. considering historical trends, seasonality factors, and other actuarial factors Collaborate closely with and provide actuarial guidance to Accounting, FP&A, and Corporate Finance teams to develop financial models for certain assumptions Build dashboard and insightful financial reporting summaries for executive management Manage the actuarial process with internal and external specialists utilizing industry appropriate methodologies and assumptions Adhere to key internal controls in accordance with Sarbanes-Oxley rules and regulationsQualifications: Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA) or Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA), and a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries Five (5) or more years of relevant healthcare-related actuarial work experienceCano Health provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state, or local laws.
