Job Summary
Our Associate Product Director, Hazmat Packaging will be
responsible for strategizing, innovating, defining, and managing
product lines, as well as ensuring products comply with DG
regulations and solve customer needs. They must achieve revenue,
gross margin and market share goals for various product categories.
This is a cross-functional role, working closely with R&D,
manufacturing, suppliers, and supply chain, marketing and sales
teams to ensure financial success. The position receives support
from throughout the company, including Product Managers and
Associate Project Managers.
Essential Functions & Principal Accountabilities
Provide strategic leadership over our UN Packaging Product Line
Conceive new packaging solutions and refine existing Packaging
Product Line
Improve sustainability of our Packaging Product Line
In collaboration with our sales team, meet our existing customers
needs and attract new customers with new innovations
Produce, implement, and achieve annual Sales budget for the
Packaging Product Line
Solve Customer problems
Maintain competitive pricing while ensuring strong margins
Maintain Packaging Product Line vendors
Develop new & improved products
Keep up to date with Packaging technology
Monitor & analyze Frequent Sales & Best Sellers
Maintain accountability for cost of goods sold
Manage & analyze inventory levels
Monitor pricing & provide pricing analysis on an ongoing basis
Attend trade shows
Train sales team members
Develop new markets
Monitor competition
Maintain regulatory knowledge
Education and Experience
7-10 years DG packaging experience
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
Bachelor of Science in Packaging preferred
Master's Degree in Business Management or Marketing desired
Proficiency in MS Office Suite
Microsoft Business Central
Preferred Qualifications/Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Knowledge of hazmat packaging design, testing, & certification
Specific regulatory knowledge pertaining to packaging systems/UN
packaging
Strong people skills
Strong written & verbal communication skills
Analytical abilities
Strong ability to negotiate
