readily available to assist frontline supervisors and/or managers
in finding solutions within a complex and challenging environment.
The ideal skill mix with this position is a generalist who has a
comprehensive understanding in HR and understands the business they
support. Resp o n sibilities & Expectations + HR Planning &
Strategy - Build High Performance Culture while supporting
S&W's strategic plan. Partner with business leaders to develop
effective organizational structure that includes clear roles and
responsibilities, objectives and accountabilities, flexible bench
strengths and vigorous training programs. Utilize metrics, audits,
analysis, reporting, and planning tools to monitor the
effectiveness of HR programs. Develop HR strategies, recommend
initiatives, and lead projects to support the ongoing needs of the
business. + Change Management - Build productive relationships at
all levels of the organization. Lead change management efforts
extending to multiple plant locations by fostering an atmosphere
for change and creating an environment embracing diversity.
Function as the employee liaison to provide feedback to the
leadership team, and actively seek opportunity to improve
communications and increase employee engagement. + Compliance &
Risk Management - Keep abreast of employment law changes and
recommend changes to ensure all human resources policies and
programs are in compliance. Audit and update workplace for
compliance with Immigration, FLSA, DOL, EEO, DOT, OSHA/MSHA and
Affirmative Action requirements. Provide interpretation and
guidance to supervisors and managers when needed. + Talent
Management & Onboarding - Assess the current organization and
identify training and development opportunities. Develop and
deliver training designed to meet organizational objectives and
strategic plan. Participate in recruiting activities to attract top
talent and implement employee development programs to build bench
strength for future talent needs. Establish employee onboarding
programs that facilitate new hire success and full leverage talent
and resources. Monitor operational policies and procedures for
hiring; discipline and termination; exit interviews; measure
performance and determine appropriate compensation. Oversee payroll
and benefits administration. + Employee Relations & Performance
Management - Facilitate the performance management process. Provide
advice and counsel to both managers and employees to solve employee
relations problems and assist with coaching needs. Conduct stay and
exit interviews as needed and recommend solutions that promote
positive employee relations. Design and implement programs to
improve key areas of the Employee Opinion Survey. Qu a lific a t i
