About the Baptist Health Clinical Pharmacy Enterprise: The newly established Clinical Pharmacy Enterprise at Baptist Health South Florida is led by a Chief Pharmacy Officer with the goal of creating progressive clinical pharmacy practices throughout the system. Clinical pharmacy services at Baptist Health will experience sustained growth and expansion. The acute care services will be developed and expanded to create new roles for pharmacist and technicians in many specialty areas. The continuous growth of the Miami Cancer Institute provides opportunities for innovative practice in all oncology subspecialties. The planned development of the newly establish Ambulatory Pharmacy Services will include expansion of clinical pharmacists into ambulatory clinics, retail, specialty and infusion services. A strong commitment to education, interdisciplinary participation and support for the latest in technology will assure that pharmacy staff is in the forefront of the medication management process. The Clinical Pharmacy Enterprise at Baptist Health is a forward thinking organization with a leadership team that fosters an environment where unique professional growth opportunities for Pharmacists are a priority. Our Clinical Pharmacy Career Ladder has 4 levels of pharmacist roles with growth potential into Clinical Coordinators and Management positions. Our Corporate Residency Director oversees our PGY-1 and PGY-2 pharmacy residency programs with 15 current residency positions and will expand into other specialty areas. We are known for having a high post-residency retention rate because of the support provided to the residents. Future plans are in place to offer non-traditional ASHP-accredited pharmacy residencies by 2021. The Pharmacists are highly engaged with professional organizations and are given opportunities to speak at national and state conferences.
