Description:
This position is responsible for the evaluation and treatment of
medically prescribed therapy services, in order to achieve maximum
developmental potential, functional gains and independence. The
therapist must be able to work independently, as well as, in teams
and make appropriate decisions based on each patients functional
needs. This job requires dependable attendance, flexibility and the
ability to work on weekends, holidays and late hours on a
rotational basis as needed.Qualifications:
Degrees: Bachelors Licenses & Certifications: Basic Life Support
CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) Certification Physical
Therapist Additional Qualifications: Holds a certificate or
advanced degree. Must meet the requirements of either the clinical
or the leader track. Clinical Track - Serves as a clinical
instructor at a minimum of 240 hours for full time and prorated for
part time employees, presents a minimum of 1 departmental
in-service per year and provides mentorship for clinical competency
or orients new staff members or completes an annual competency for
department. Completes 2 approved electives per year. Leadership
Track - Identifies and analyzes a performance improvement
problem/issue and implements an action plan with follow up to
ensure success, assumes leadership role in department and
coordinates staffing in the absence of leadership, attends non
clinical courses in BHU as approved by leadership and voluntarily
serves on a hospital committee/chairs a departmental committee
attending 75% of meetings with active participation. Completes 1
approved elective per year. Minimum Required Experience: 2
