Pulmonary Functional Rehab Coordinator, FT, 8 Hour Shift,
8am-4pm, Mon-Fri, - Miami, FloridaDescription Position Summary:
Pulmonary Function Rehab Coordinator is responsible for
coordinating all Pulmonary Function/Rehab job activities.Duties &
Responsibilities: Responsible for all Pulmonary Function's payroll
functions. Designs, coordinates and implements Pulmonary Rehab
Program. Coordinates and monitors all pre and post lung transplant
pulmonary function/rehab activities. Maintains compliance with
standards and regulations of National, Federal, State and other
applicable agencies for the Pulmonary Function Laboratory. Assists
in monitoring the revenue budget of the Pulmonary Function
Laboratory. Assists in developing and monitoring the revenue budget
of the Pulmonary Function Laboratory. Develops, implements and
monitors goals and objectives of the Pulmonary Function Laboratory.
Prepares, documents and revises policies and procedures governing
the operations of the Pulmonary Function Laboratory. Coordinates
the activities of the laboratory with those of the medical staff,
patient services divisions and other ancillary areas. Supervises
routine pulmonary function studies, bronchoscopy procedures,
bronchial provocation studies, pulmonary exercise studies and
clinical care. Supervises daily activities of the Pulmonary
Function technical staff. Establishes and monitors new pulmonary
function concepts and participates in continuing pulmonary function
educational programs. Accepts committee assignments, special
projects and responsibilities as designated by the Chief
Respiratory Therapist. Demonstrates behaviors of service excellence

Expertise). Performs all other related job duties as
assigned.QualificationsExperience: Generally requires 3 to 5 years
of related experience.Education: High school diploma is
required.License Certification: Valid Certified Pulmonary
Technologist by the NBRC is required. Registered Respiratory
Therapist (RRT) certification and licensed by the State of Florida
as Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) are required. American
Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare
Providers certification with at least 6 months validity required.
Completion of 30 Hour Florida Board of Nursing Approved IV
Certification Course is required.Knowledge Skill Abilities: Ability
to analyze, organize and prioritize work accurately while meeting
multiple deadlines. Ability to communicate effectively in both oral
and written form. Ability to handle difficult and stressful
situations with critical thinking and professional composure.
Ability to understand and follow instructions. Ability to exercise
sound and independent judgment. Knowledge and skill in use of job
appropriate technology and software applications. Must meet and
maintain current all unit specific and organizational
skills/competencies, certifications/licensures, as required by the
nursing area.Physical Demands: Job function requires frequent
sitting, standing or walking for extended period of time. Must be
able to carry objects weighing up to 20 pounds. Jobs in this group
require frequent visual acuity to perform activities related to
extended use of computers. Additional information and provision

to function in a fast paced environment with occasional high
pressure or emergent and stressful situations. Frequent interaction

Function is subject to inside environmental conditions, with
occasional outdoor exposures. Exposure to various environments such
as: communicable diseases, toxic substances, medicinal preparations
and other conditions common to a hospital and medical office
environment. May also be exposed to needle sticks, airborne
infections, medical gases, X-Ray, chemical exposures and other
potential hazards. Must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
when exposed to infectious/clinical hospital environment.
