Job Description:

Summary The Nurse Extern, is currently enrolled in a School of Nursing and has successfully completed a Nursing fundamentals course. When on duty, s/he assists patients with activities of daily living and provides basic patient care designed to meet the physical, emotional and social needs of the patient. The Nurse Extern may also be cross-trained to perform unit secretary clerical duties. The nurse After appropriate validation, the Nurse Extern may perform nursing practice interventions learned within his/her clinical training, supported within the scope defined by FLBON. Qualifications:Education Required: Completion of Fundamentals/Medical Surgical Clinical Nursing course within an accredited, or approved school of Nursing Program. Experience Required: Prior clinical experience in area of expertise preferred. Certifications Required: American Heart Association BLS Certification LI-JW1 Tenet complies with federal, state, and/or local laws regarding mandatory vaccination of its workforce. If you are offered this position and must be vaccinated under any applicable law, you will be required to show proof of full vaccination or obtain an approval of a religious or medical exemption prior to your start date. If you receive an exemption from the vaccination requirement, you will be required to submit to regular testing in accordance with the law.
