Education:Bachelor of Science in NursingCertification and
Licensing:Registered Nurse License; Basic Life Support
Certification (BLS)Experience:1 year previous experienceKnowledge,
Skills and Attitudes:Knowledge of medical terminologyKnowledge of
nursing care methods and proceduresIn-depth knowledge of health and
safety guidelines and procedures (i.e. sanitation, decontamination
etc.)Excellent patient experience skillsAbility to recognize,
analyze, and solve a variety of problemsAbility to maintain
effective interpersonal relationshipsAbility to communicate
effectively in both oral and written formDEPARTMENT
ADDENDUMDepartment Specific FunctionsAnswers emergency calls
through our CDE cell phone line.Provides documentation to parents,
schools.Works closely with School nurses to ensure proper care of
Diabetic patients.Training of school nurses on how to treat
diabetic children.Training parents on diabetic meter downloads,
medications and patient care.Provides services in clinics with
diabetic team.Works closely with Dr. Sanchez and part-time RN to
ensure high quality patient care for diabetic patients.Assists
Pediatric Endocrine Diabetes with support on projects and
conferences.Department Specific Qualifications Education:
RNCertification and Licensing: CDE Certification
