The ideal candidate will be a visionary with demonstrated operational and leadership skills, an established researcher with a track record of extramural funding, recognized clinician, and reputable educator with a collaborative approach and ability to navigate complex systems.The Division Chief will have the opportunity and resources to foster and build an innovative division that realizes the significant academic and clinical potential of clinical, translational, and basic-science faculty. Opportunity highlights

• The Division has a strong commitment to innovative research, education, and outstanding clinical care in the field of pediatric infectious diseases
• Division faculty serve as the medical directors of the Antimicrobial Stewardship and the Transplant/Immunocompromised ID Programs, and provide medical directorship and clinical services for the Ryan White HIV Program
• Division faculty provide care at nine ambulatory sites. Community outreach extends through the Pediatric Mobile Clinic, nine school-clinic sites, and the Injury Free Mobile Van
• Current Division faculty are recognized for their expertise in HIV and participate in many advisory groups, consensus workshops, and national and international meetings addressing HIV/AIDS in children
• Our highly reputable ACGM-accredited three-year fellowship program attracts fellows from top programs nationally, offering a rich educational environment
• The neonatal service at Holtz Children's Hospital of the Jackson Health System is one of the largest in the country, with more than 100 beds, and the pediatric transplantation service is one of the busiest in the U.S.
