Conviva is seeking a candidate to join our Team as a Certified Me dical Assistant . The Certified Medical Assistant is the first point of contact for patient care and is responsible for administrative and clinical duties. We're looking for someone who is compassionate with hands on clinical and phlebotomy experience. Must have the ability to work in a fast pace/high volume environment. Must be a team player with excellent communication skills who can delivering outstanding direct patient care dependent on what active certification allows. Welcomes patients and visitors.
Comforts and assists patients, answering patients' questions.
Clinical duties include discussing symptoms, gathering/scanning/inputting information into the electronic medical records system.
Taking vital signs, giving injections, performing diagnostic tests, collecting specimens, drawing blood, sterilizing/cleaning equipment, and maintaining examination rooms at an outpatient care site.
Collaborates closely with Physicians and Specialists.
Maintains the reception area.
Helps patients in distress by responding to emergencies.
Administrative duties may be required.
Must be bilingual in English (read, write & speak) and Spanish (speak)
Clinical experience in patient care.
Experience with (EMR) Electronic Medical Records
Proficient with Microsoft Office
Medical Assistant Diploma
Current CPR certification
1 - 3 years of Medical Assistant experience in 'back-office' direct patient care
Hands-on professional Phlebotomy experience
Experience with HEDIS
Active RMA or CMA from one of the following:
National Healthcareer Association (NHA)
American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA)
American Medical Technologists (AMT)
National Association for Health Professionals (NAHP)
National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT)
American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA)
American Allied Health (AAH)
Working hours : Monday to Friday 8AM-5PM
