Lauderdale, Miami - Time type: Full time - Posted on: Posted 5 Days Ago - Application deadline: May 31, 2025 (9 days left)Job Description:The Regional Medical Scientific Director (RMSD), Virology, is a credentialed (MD, PhD, PharmD, or DNP) therapeutic and disease area expert. The RMSD engages in scientific exchange and research support with external scientific leaders and investigators, providing factual, scientific information about non-product areas related to Virology (HIV). RMSDs facilitate peer relationships with scientific leaders and support data generation activities, including sponsored trials and investigator studies.Location: This is a REMOTE position, but residence must be within South Florida (Tampa, Fort Lauderdale, Miami). Up to 50% travel required, including some overnight stays.Primary Responsibilities:

• Engage in scientific exchange and research support with external scientific leaders and investigators.
• Provide factual, scientific information about non-product areas related to Virology (HIV).
• Develop and maintain peer relationships with scientific leaders and investigators.
• Support data generation activities, including sponsored trials and investigator studies.
• Identify and manage relationships with scientific leaders and investigators.
• Conduct scientific discussions and ensure a scientific presence in the community.
• Engage in proactive scientific discussions on disease states, diagnosis, epidemiology, and unmet medical needs.
• Communicate stakeholder insights to internal teams to inform strategies.
• Represent the company at scientific meetings and conferences.
• Develop and execute territory plans aligned with global strategies.
• Support investigator-initiated research and clinical development programs.
• Provide scientific support to Health Systems Teams.
• Maintain in-depth knowledge of the disease and therapeutic area through educational activities.
• Ensure compliance with all policies, laws, and ethical standards.Minimum Education Requirements:
  • Advanced degree (MD, PhD, PharmD, or DNP) relevant to the disease area.Experience and Skills:
    • Experience in Virology, especially HIV/AIDS.
    • At least 3 years in biotech/pharmaceutical or healthcare environment, plus 3 years of clinical/research experience in relevant disease areas.
    • Alternatively, 5+ years of Medical Scientific Liaison experience in relevant TA.
    • Excellent communication, networking, and presentation skills.
    • Ability to travel up to 50% and reside in the territory.
    • Deep therapeutic knowledge and understanding of scientific trends.
    • Ability to network with external stakeholders.
    • Strong data analysis and interpretation skills.
    • Knowledge of clinical research processes, FDA regulations, and ethical guidelines.Preferred Skills:
      • Recognition for scientific excellence in TA.
      • 5+ years pharmaceutical industry experience in relevant TA.
      • Existing relationships within the geographic area.
      • Leadership skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office.Headquarters: Upper Gwynedd, PA; role is remote within South Florida; travel up to 50%.
