Job Description:

Sunset Cardiology is looking for an experienced Cardiologist to evaluate patients and give clinical care. Monday through Friday. Responsibilities:Evaluate and establish plans of care for all patients following evidence-based medicine, to provide high quality of care and the practice of cost-effective carePractice accuracy of medical record documentation to reflect the reason for the patient visit, history of the present illness, review of symptoms, physical exam and a plan of treatment for each conditionReview and sign all consultation reports and diagnostic tests and implement the appropriate plan of careDocument all patient evaluations, treatments, medications and transactions in support of services rendered and according to company policies and proceduresPrevent diseases and complications of diseases by providing patient education concerning diet, appropriate disease preventive screenings and life style modification, including good hygiene practices and exercisePrescribe, and administer medications in accordance with State and Federal StatutesPerform and interpret diagnostic test, and perform procedures within the physicians area of expertiseProvide education, consultation and guidance to primary care physicians in the management of patients referred for specialty careCollaborate with other physicians and clinical staff to form a high performing medical team, including participation in team conferencesMaintain effective communication with the Utilization Management Department and ensure that medical documentation supports the resources being requested for each patientProvide guidance to Interamerican regarding the diagnosis and treatment of diseases, and procedures within the specialtyRemain up to date with the developments and best practices in medicine through reviews of medical literature and continuing medical educationCultivate an environment of compassion, respect and service for patientPromptly return calls from patients and physiciansOur benefits package includes, but is not limited to:Competitive Wages PLUS Bonus IncentivesMalpractice insurance sponsored by companyMedical insurance sponsored by companyDental and Vision insurance401K matching planPaid Holiday and Vacation days40 hours paid by company annually to use towards CME hoursShort term and Long term disabilityLife insuranceMonday through Friday 8am to 5pm work scheduleNO WEEKENDS - NO HOLIDAYSEEOE M/F/Veterans/Disabled
