Job Summary and Qualifications The Pulmonary Student Intern assists licensed Respiratory Therapists by providing the most basic respiratory therapy treatments and procedures. Performs patient/family care as well as documentation at the most basic performance level under the direct, immediate, and on premise supervision of a licensed Respiratory Therapist. Performs airway clearance, administers aerosolized medication, assists with cleaning of equipment and restocking of respiratory supplies and, assists with oxygen therapy administration. What qualifications you will need: - Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date - Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date - PALS Pediatric Adv Life Supt must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date - Vocational School Graduate HCA Florida Mercy Hospital is a 488-bed facility. We are accredited by the Joint Commission and offer a wide range of medical specialties. These specialties include emergency care, heart, and vascular care. We are designated by the Joint Commission as a Primary Stroke Center. Other specialties include maternity and neonatal care. We are a Level II NICU hospital.
