Job Description Job Description Overview For more than three
decades, our organization has been a prominent national provider of
outpatient treatment facilities, focusing on delivering safe,
high-quality care for individuals dealing with Opioid Use Disorder
(OUD). With over 70 centers across various states, our dedicated
team engages in medication-assisted treatment, counseling, and
comprehensive care management for those affected by OUD. We adopt a
holistic approach, addressing the root causes of OUD to ensure a
continuum of care that not only meets treatment needs but also
supports patients on their recovery journey. Position Summary:
Under the guidance of the Medical Director or Registered Nurse for
medical issues and the Program Director for administrative tasks,
this role contributes to the promotion and restoration of patient
health, collaborates with physicians and multidisciplinary teams,
and provides essential support to patients. Key Responsibilities: -
Administers medications as per physician orders and accurately
documents dosages in patient records. - Conducts daily inventory
checks of medication supplies, ensuring precise accounting of all
medications supplied or administered. - Takes responsibility for
the security of medication inventory and collects fees when a
cashier is unavailable. - Performs daily cash reconciliations in
the absence of a cashier, ensuring all collected cash is submitted
to the Program Director for final counting. - Receives incoming
medication shipments, verifies their accuracy, and promptly informs
relevant staff of any discrepancies. - Ensures proper disposal of
medical waste following established protocols. - Observes patients'
behavior prior to medication administration and consults with the
Medical Director or Registered Nurse if any concerns arise. -
Communicates patient-related issues to the Medical Director or
Registered Nurse for medical concerns and to the Program Director
for other matters, including dose requests and behavioral
observations. - Contacts other centers to confirm dosages as
necessary. - Administers required lab tests, including vital signs
and TB tests, and collects data for review by the Medical Director
or RN. - Schedules and screens patients for appointments with the
Medical Director. - Assists the Medical Director in gathering data
for patient histories and physicals, making medical record entries
as directed. - Receives and documents medical orders, ensuring they
are signed by the physician and understood by the Program Director
and other staff. - Maintains strict control, tracking, and
confidentiality of all patient medical documentation, adhering to
federal and state privacy regulations. - Responsible for obtaining
and maintaining necessary licensure and/or certification as per
state requirements. - Actively participates in CARF preparation and
state audit processes, attending all staff meetings. - Complies
with all local, state, federal regulations, and organizational
policies. - Acts in the best interest of patients, the program, and
the organization, while respecting the proprietary rights of both
patients and the organization. - Engages with the public and
patients by answering phones, welcoming visitors, and monitoring
patient activities on-site. Additional Responsibilities: For staff
in Minnesota: Responsible for fulfilling Freedom from Chemical Use
Problems requirements. Supervisory Responsibilities: None Essential

Education/Licensure/Certification: Must hold an active nursing
license in the state where the clinic operates. Required Knowledge:
Familiarity with opiate addiction, medical terminology, general
nursing practices, and techniques. Basic math skills are essential.
Proficiency in computer use, particularly with Microsoft products
such as Word, Outlook, and Excel, along with basic typing skills,
is required. Experience Required: At least one year of direct
patient interaction is necessary. Previous experience in a clinical
setting is advantageous. Skills and Abilities: Exceptional customer
service and interpersonal skills are required. Attention to detail
and accuracy in daily tasks are crucial. Physical Demands/Work

from staff and external agencies. Job or State Requirements: LPN or
RN in Florida or multi-state.
