Labor & Delivery Overview: The Registered Nurse specializing in
Labor & Delivery is responsible for delivering focused patient care
during the childbirth process. This role involves collaboration
with various healthcare teams while upholding patient rights and
maintaining confidentiality. Candidates must possess a valid RN
license, relevant certifications such as Basic Life Support, and
demonstrate physical stamina for the demands of the position. The

process to ensure quality patient care. The nurse is accountable
for the care provided to assigned patients and assesses the
effectiveness of care delivered by other healthcare providers.
Coordination of patient care with different departments is
essential, along with safeguarding patient rights and
confidentiality. Responsibilities must align with our mission,
values, and service standards. Position Details: Qualifications:
Education: Completion of a nursing program (Associate's Degree,
Diploma, or BSN). Licensure: Must obtain and maintain a current RN
license in the state of employment or a compact license, adhering
to all state board requirements. Experience: Relevant experience in
nursing is preferred. Certifications: Basic Life Support
certification from the American Heart Association or completion of
the course within 30 days of hire. Additional certifications may be
required based on the specific unit, including but not limited to:
ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation
Program) ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course) TNCC (Trauma
Nursing Core Course) CPHON (Certified Pediatric/Hematology/Oncology
Nurse) OCN (Oncology Certified Nurse) PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life
Support) PEARS (Pediatric Assessment Recognition and Stabilization)
S.T.A.B.L.E. (Sugar, Temperature, Airway, Blood Pressure, Lab Work,
And Emotional Support) C-EFM (Fetal Monitor Certification) Other
unit-specific certifications as necessary. Physical Requirements:
Ability to regularly push, pull, or lift up to 50 lbs. Prolonged
standing and walking are required during shifts. Capability to
grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat as needed for job
