HCA Florida Palms West Hospital is seeking a dedicated Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to join our team on a PRN (as-needed) basis. As an RRT at our state-of-the-art facility, you will provide top-tier respiratory care to patients across a variety of settings, including emergency, inpatient, and specialty services. This role demands a compassionate professional who is prepared to work flexibly, responding to patient needs with clinical expertise and supportive care in alignment with our commitment to improving patient health and community well-being. Assess, diagnose, and treat patients with respiratory or cardiopulmonary disorders. Administer and manage ventilator support, oxygen therapy, and other respiratory treatments. Perform diagnostic tests such as arterial blood gas analysis and pulmonary function tests. Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to formulate individualized patient care plans. Educate patients and families about respiratory health and treatment plans. Document patient care services by charting in patient and department records. Ensure operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements, following manufacturer's instructions, troubleshooting malfunctions, and calling for repairs.
