Additionally, the centers pancreas program is ranked number two and overall pediatric program is ranked number four. As a member of our multidisciplinary transplant team, youll be a part of one of the largest and most comprehensive transplant centers in the world.

Jackson Memorial Hospital in Florida is an accredited, non-profit, tertiary care hospital and the major teaching facility for the University of Miami Leonard M. Miller School of Medicine. With more than 1,550 licensed beds, Jackson Memorial Hospital is a referral center, a magnet for medical research, and home to Ryder Trauma Center - the only adult and pediatric Level 1 trauma center in Miami-Dade County. Jackson also has one of the most robust surgical service lines in the region that sets benchmark of excellence in the provision of world-class surgical interventions.We are growing and we need motivated Nurse Managers to join our Perioperative Services team! As one of the most robust surgery services lines in the entire Southeast region, our Perioperative Services consists of 47 Operating Room Suites, which includes six Trauma OR suites in the Ryder Trauma Center. Featuring three pre and post operation areas for Adults with a separate area from Pediatrics. We perform over 15,000 surgeries yearly that covers all specialties, from minimally invasive surgery to the most comprehensive Orthopedic, Cardiac, Vascular, and Thoracic, Transplant- Adult and Children to name just a few.
We have multiple Nurse Managers positions available for the following Operating Room (OR) Specialties:
- Nurse Manager OR/Transplant
The OR Nurse Manager provides strategic leadership, clinical practice and staff development for one or more nursing units, and is responsible for assessing, planning, coordinating, implementing and evaluating nursing practice at the unit level. The Nurse Manager is accountable to ensure high quality, safe and appropriate nursing care, competency of clinical and support staff, and appropriate resource and service management related to patient care. The Nurse Manager is responsible and accountable for implementing executive strategies into frontline reality by effectively and efficiently managing and leading in area(s) of responsibility for the strategic, financial and human resource plans performance improvement initiatives, appropriate clinical practice knowledge and technology.QualificationsOR Leadership Experience Required
Status: Full Time
Education: Baccalaureate degree in Nursing required
Experience:Three years experience in Nursing within a Surgical area, with one year's experience in a management position required.
Five years overall and three years in a management position desired.
Licensure, and/or Certification:RN required. Florida RN license or eligibility required. American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare
Providers certification with at least 6 months validity required.
Knowledge, Skill, and Abilities:Ability to demonstrate literacy in using computerized information systems.
Physical Demands:Job functions requires to stand up for two hours at a time. Additional information and provision for requests for reasonable
