Job Description:

The Housekeeping Supervisor is the link in between management and his/her main function is to assist the head of the department to keep the clean and sanitary conditions of the facility providing and making sure the member of his/her shift are provided with all necessary tools, equipment and chemicals to accomplish the daily routine and any other assigned job. Essential Duties and Responsibilities * Helps to organize schedules as well as assignment of duties to janitors and supervises the completion. * Order any kind of supplies to keep the shift working as expected. * Fill for staff when necessary. * Report any issue(s) to the Engineer team or to any other department. * Create a courteous friendly professional work environment through open line of communication. * Ensure compliance with safety and cleaning standard. * Inspect and maintain every part of the property. * Maintain the regular cleaning routine and make sure to accomplish the extra "daily things to do" * Assist the head of the Department in maintaining the monthly inventory. * Approach all encounter with visitors in a friendly, service oriented manner. * Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which includes wearing the proper uniform when working. * Comply at all times with the company standards and regulations to encourage the rest of the team to do the same. * Use the proper equipment, tools, chemicals and gears to optimize the quality of the job and the economical operation of the property. * Supervise, train, support and monitor every member of the team. * Must be able to operate any equipment used in the property: o Vacuums (wet-dry) o Scrubbers (walk behind and riders) o Lift. o Truck and or golf cart. o Electrical escalator vacuum. o Carpet extractor. o Pressure washer. o Low or high speed floor machines. * Must be able to perform any basic maintenance to the equipment listed above and make sure all the equipment inventory is in the best possible conditions. * Must have deep enough knowledge of cleaning techniques, safety regulations, chemicals, schedules and cleaning programs to train the rest of the staff and correct any kind of deficiency in his/her team. * Masters all activities duties and routines contained in the housekeeping attendant job description. * Performs other duties as required. Qualifications, Job Knowledge, Experience, Skills, and Ablilities * To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. * Interpret documents such as safety rules; MSDS; operations and maintenance instructions, employees handbook etc. * High school or GED Diploma. * Must be able to communicate with the members of the team and be able to explain any instruction, safety rules, schedules etc. Physical Requirements of the position and work environment: * Must be able to walk, climb stairs and ladders. * Must be able to bend, stood, crouch, twist and turn. * Must be able to read and write. * Must be able to use both hands to reach, grasp, handle, pull and push. * Must be able to hear, talk and smell. * Must have a good near and far vision. * Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. * Must be able to work in presence of chemicals such as chlorine, degreaser, detergents, disinfectants, deodorizers and many others related to the housekeeping activity under different brands and names. * Must be able to keep a clear and effective communication with his team and the rest of the Departments. * Must have a strong leadership, training skills and good judgment.
