Produce Merchandiser, Bravo SupermarketsKrasdale Foods, Inc. is seeking an experienced Produce Category Merchandiser to assist with its Merchandising and Marketing efforts for its BRAVO Supermarket banner in the state of Florida.Krasdale Foods, Inc., in its second century serving its customers within the grocery industry, is a wholesale food distributor delivering both national brands and private label products to independently owned supermarkets and food stores throughout the northeastern United States. Through its affiliated companies, Krasdale also provides a full array of services to assist its customers in areas of efficiency and profitability by providing merchandising and marketing services, technology platform solutions, advertising, regulatory compliance and related consulting services. The company has over 500 employees and maintains its corporate headquarters in White Plains, New York, as well as its Distribution Center in the Bronx, NY and offices in Miami, FL.Primary responsibilities will include:Insure proper product selection and merchandising of Produce Departments at store levelProvide Field Support- retail counseling, resets, price checks, expansion, point of sale materials, trainingAccountability- maintain the highest possible service levels from our dedicated produce suppliersCommunicate effectively with retail customers, suppliers, vendors, brokers, team members and corporate office to maximize merchandising and retail pricing effortsAttend various food shows and participate in special promotional activitiesProvide clear, concise & accurate reports via tablet for each store visitedRequired skills:Five to seven years of Produce merchandising experience in a retail supermarket environment along with a strong background in tropical and specialty produceAbility to create a Produce plan-o-gram and set a store up from scratchDemonstrated skills in customer communication along with the ability to negotiate deals with authorized Produce suppliersBilingual English/Spanish a plusKrasdale foods offers a competitive salary, strong benefit package which includes: PTO, Holidays, choice of Medical plan, Dental plan, Health Savings and Flex Spending programs, Company Paid: Short Term Disability, Long Term Disability and Life Insurance, 401K with match upon eligibility, Profit Sharing, Employee Assistance and Wellness Programs.
