Job Description:
Job Description The Maintenance Technician is responsible for
all CNC machine and equipment repairs and maintenance. It will be
required to be knowledgeable with manufacturing concepts,
techniques, and procedures. To achieve goals and complete a variety
of complex activities, rely on your judgment and expertise. With
minimal oversight, a certain amount of inventiveness and liberty is
essential. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Maintains, fixes,
and troubleshoots all CNC machines and equipment, as well as
assisting with general facility maintenance. Mechanical,
electrical, and control issues, as well as PLCs, are diagnosed and
repaired on any equipment, including complicated CNC machines.
Assists with the creation and implementation of preventative
maintenance plans. Facilities and infrastructure design, system
upgrades, part and service procurement as needed, and verification
and validation support with IQ, OQ, and PQ protocols will all be
part of the projects. Preventive maintenance system is fully
utilized, and preventive maintenance schedules are followed.
Prepares the supply of utilities and the connection to the
manufacturing equipment. Engineers and technicians assist with
repairs and the addition of additional features or functionality to
new or old equipment. In order to execute operating strategies,
collaborates with other operating departments within the
organization as well as supplier representatives to analyze
products, processes, or materials. As needed, maintains and
provides updated maintenance part inventory reports. Maintains tool
and machine component inventories at predetermined levels. Writes
purchase requisitions and monitors purchased items through the
order system, including identification verification upon receipt,
inventory record updates, labeling, and storage. Reduce downtime
using problem-solving tools and offer changes with root cause
investigation methodologies. As needed or as assigned by the
supervisor, performs other jobs or special projects. Qualification
Requirements High school diploma or equivalent; technical school
preferred. At least 5 years of hands-on equipment maintenance
expertise in a manufacturing/machining environment, including Swiss
lathes, Rollomatic, Grinders, Mills, and other manual and/or CNC
machines (familiarity with Fanuc, Yasnac, and Mitsubishi controls
preferred). Electrical controls (PLCs), mechanical, equipment, and
facility maintenance are all areas of expertise. Working knowledge
of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM --- Autonomous Maintenance).
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Electronics and computer skills,
as well as knowledge of CNC machine repair and alignment (Mazak,
Haas, Citizen, Fanuc). Detail-oriented, efficient, and capable of
multitasking, working independently, and completing work on time.
Reading mechanical schematics and parts manuals, as well as
identifying repair parts. Test equipment experience doing equipment
evaluations and alignments (ball bar tester). Ability to go through
maintenance software (for example, PMC) --- makes reporting and
assignments easier. Ability to follow verbal and written
instructions. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including
weekend and/or weekday overtime as needed. Microsoft Office is a
strong suit. Data entry abilities are excellent. Excellent
interpersonal and communication abilities. Ability to work
independently and make sound decisions. You should be proficient
in: GD&T G-Code M-Code Machine Setups for Production Runs
