Job Description:
Summary:
The Human Resources (HR) Manager's duties include overseeing the
job design process, recruitment process, planning and implementing
training programs for staff and ensuring that employees follow best
practices and company policies and retain employees.
Typical Duties and Responsibilities:
Overseeing recruitment, selection and the onboarding process
Coordinating and participating, when necessary, the company's
appraisal system and conducting appraisal meetings
Ensuring that a company's procedures comply with employment
regulations according to US federal and state laws
Monitoring various aspects of an employee's performance, such as
attendance and sick leave during the training process
Accessing the need for training and then designing and implementing
training programs accordingly for the Executive Director (ED) and
Content Manager (CM) positions
Handling any disciplinary processes and formal grievances for
trainees; full time employees as necessary
Setting and reviewing pay structures and employee perks and
benefits
Managing and training the HR team
Developing and implementing HR strategies and initiatives aligned
with the overall business strategy
Bridging management and employee relations by addressing demands,
grievances or other issues
Managing the recruitment and selection process
Develop and monitor overall HR strategies, systems, tactics and
procedures across the organization
Nurture a positive working environment
Assess training needs to apply and monitor training programs
Report to management and provide decision support through HR
metrics
Maintains the work structure by updating job requirements and job
descriptions for all positions.
Supports organization staff by establishing a recruiting, testing,
and interviewing program; counseling managers on candidate
selection; conducting and analyzing exit interviews; and
recommending changes.
Prepares employees for assignments by establishing and conducting
orientation and training programs.
Retains historical human resource records by designing a filing and
retrieval system and keeping past and current records.
Maintains Training and Employee Manuals
Cultivates professional and technical knowledge by attending
educational workshops, reviewing professional publications,
establishing personal networks, and participating in professional
societies.
Completes human resource operational requirements by scheduling and
assigning employees and following up on work results.
Manages human resource staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting,
and training employees.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as
needed.

Key Requirements/Qualifications/Licensing Requirements:
2-4 years of experience
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience;
Proven working experience as HR Manager or other HR Executive
People oriented and results driven
Demonstrable experience with Human Resources metrics
Knowledge of HR systems and databases
Ability to architect strategy along with leadership skills
Excellent active listening, negotiation and presentation skills
Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal
relationships at all levels of the company
In-depth knowledge of labor law andHR best practices
Degree in Human Resources or related field
Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university or similar
work experience required
5+ years of experience in progressively responsible human resource
roles
3+ years of experience in Labor Relations and Employee Relation
PHR/SPHR certification preferred
