Job Description:
Essential Functions

- Administers various human resource plans and procedures for all
organization personnel; assists in the development and
implementation of personnel policies and procedures; prepares and
maintains the company's employee files.
- Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and
non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments
through company's LMS. This may include safety training,
anti-harassment training, professional licensure, and
certifications.
- Administer new employee on-boarding and orientation to deliver
an exceptional first day experience
- Administers employee recognition program on a monthly
basis.
- Coordinate open enrollments, changes, and training for employee
benefits programs.
- Create and distribute internal communications regarding status
changes, benefits, or company policies.
- Performs benefits administration to include claims resolution,
change reporting, approving invoices for payment and communicating
benefit information to employees
- Handles employment-related inquiries from employees and
supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the
appropriate staff.
- Management of all leave request (e.g. FMLA, maternity leave,
medical leave, etc.) which may include preparing, issuing and
filing company documentation.
- Process and manages claims or request for Worker's
Compensation.
- Ensures that employees understand retirement plan (401K) and
other benefit programs.
- Manages unemployment claims through companies DEO portal to
ensure all claims are processed in a timely manner.
- Support the HR department in implementing programs to help
improve the employee experience.
- Participates in developing department goals, objectives and
systems
- Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment
laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews
policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory
changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent
management, and employment law.
- Maintains human resource information system records, to
including personnel records and maintains compliance with federal,
state and local employment and benefits laws and regulations.
Supervisory Responsibility
- May oversee the scheduling, assignments, and daily workflow of
subordinate staff in the department.
- May assist with constructive and timely performance
evaluations
Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role
routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers,
photocopiers and smartphones.
Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those
that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the
essential functions of this job.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly
required to talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by
this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus. This
would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and
bend or stand on a stool as necessary. Prolonged periods of sitting
at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
- Must be able to access and navigate each department at the
organization's facilities.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday
through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Occasional evening and
weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
Travel
Travel within the region of our clients is to be expected
Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration,
or related field required.
- At least five years of human resources experience.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution
skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to
detail.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet
deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when
appropriate.
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and
confidentiality.
- Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and
regulations.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
- Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the
organizations HRIS and talent management systems.
- Working knowledge of UltiPro is plus!
