The Workforce Planning and Analytics Team (WPA) is focused on
providing actionable insights to help our partners in HR and
Blackstone's businesses make faster, more sustainable, more
strategic, and more cost-effective decisions. The role will report
directly to and work in partnership with the Vice President of
WPA.
Primary responsibilities include:
Design, build, and deliver effective Tableau dashboards to
communicate the most important information and insights to our
Business, Talent Acquisition, and HR leaders
Develop teammates' ability to use reporting tools and to identify
key insights
Serve as analytics partner to several of our Business Units. This
will require the team member to learn the needs of the business,
scope out the right solutions, and roll up their sleeves to build
high quality and sustainable products with help from their WPA
teammates
Work to continuously enhance our reporting and analytics
infrastructure, including helping to shape our roadmap, document
critical information, and enhance our data warehouse
Create concise and effective executive level presentations to
communicate actionable insights related to our talent, recruiting,
and workforce planning processes
Deliver analyses focused on talent and diversity, leveraging
analysis of both quantitative and qualitative data
Design and build solutions in Workday to make teammates' lives
easier and to make processes more efficient
Advocate for clean HR data, and build tools and audits to help make
this possible
Develop teammates' ability to use reporting tools and to identify
key insights
Qualifications:
The successful candidate will have:
Previous experience building talent or recruiting dashboards with
data visualization tools (Tableau preferred)
Demonstrably strong understanding of research methods and
experimental design - including knowing when to use various models,
how to test assumptions, and how to write effective survey
questions
Ability to generate clear, concise, and (when appropriate)
executive-ready actionable recommendations
Previous experience using a programming language (Python, R) for
statistical analysis preferred
Experience querying with SQL and some knowledge of data warehousing
best practices preferred, or willingness to learn with the support
of your team (experience building reporting views in Snowflake is
preferred)
Experience building reports directly in an HRIS system (preferably
in Workday with experience building calculated fields, worklets,
dashboards, and composite reports)
Some experience with text analysis, or an interest in learning
Clear history of supporting coworkers or peers in learning
technical concepts
Interest in psychology, econometrics, and/or data science, with a
history of continuous learning
Experience with technical documentation, project planning
techniques, and a willingness to log work in project management
software like JIRA

Expected annual base salary range:
$80,000 - $105,000 Actual base salary within that range will be
determined by several components including but not limited to the
individual's experience, skills, qualifications and job location.
For roles located outside of the US, please disregard the posted
salary bands as these roles will follow a separate compensation
process based on local market comparables.
Additional compensation: Base salary does not include other forms
of compensation or benefits offered in connection with the
advertised role.
