CarBuckets is seeking a mid-to-senior Frontend Engineer to join our team of hungry, highly motivated individuals. This is a full-time individual contributor position. Candidates must show a portfolio and/or examples of their work.
**We are open to remote work. Candidate does NOT have to be Miami based.
Job OverviewAs a mid-to-senior frontend engineer, you ensure that CarBucket's user-facing user interfaces perform smoothly and have the capacity for future growth and enhancements. You are embedded in every one of CarBucket's products and are a core participant in all significant front end engineering initiatives and efforts.
Responsibilities and Duties

• Own CarBucket's front-end services - like our web application (CarBuckets.com)
• Implement the features and user interfaces of CarBuckets products
• Architect efficient and reusable front-end systems that drive complex web applications
• Collaborate with other engineers and teams to create and deliver compelling user-facing products
• Identify and resolve performance and scalability issues
• Review code, develop documentation and capacity plans
• Debug and provide solutions to problems in the front-end
• Share an on-call rotation and be on escalation contact for service incidents and the resolution of these issues
• Execute and perform frequent code reviewsMinimum Qualifications
  • 5+ years of JavaScript experience, including concepts like asynchronous programming, closures, types, and ES6
  • 5+ years of HTML/CSS experience, including concepts like layout, specificity, cross-browser compatibility, and accessibility
  • 5+ years of experience with browser APIs and optimizing front end performance
  • Experience learning software, frameworks, and APIs
  • You're comfortable with proactive outward communication and technical leadershipPreferred Qualifications
    • Experience with React, Vue and/or similar technologies
    • Has experience implementing design systems
    • Has a deep appreciation for semantic HTML and accessibility, and keeps these at the forefront of their mind while developing new UIs
    • BS/MS in Computer Science or a related technical discipline or equivalent work experience
