Additionally, this employee manages a team that performs system monitoring and analysis, performance tuning, troubleshooting, and issue escalation to maintain system performance and meet user demand.CORE JOB FUNCTIONS Leads the evaluation of department computer systems and processes, develops strategic options and process improvements Provides end user support by servicing computers, networks, servers, and internet connections, as well as troubleshooting hardware at a component level. Analyzes system and user needs, recommends and performs upgrades, and completes scheduled and unscheduled system maintenance. Administers, services, and contracts for the production and development platforms. Prepares, imports, and transform data in spreadsheets and databases. Monitors production servers, services, and network traffic to diagnose and repair outages. Defines security for corporate data, server file, and directory access privileges. Develops and implements workflow automation tools. Documents implementation processes and procedures. Trains junior system administrators and interns. Provides systems support to internal departments and business partners. Recommends infrastructure changes and improvements. Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets.This list of duties and responsibilities is not intended to be all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties or responsibilities as necessary.CORE QUALIFICATIONS Education:Bachelor's degree in relevant fieldCertification and Licensing:Servicenow Fundamentals and Servicenow System Administration CertificationProficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)Advanced MS Excel skills and construction of graphs and dashboards.Experience:Minimum 5 years of relevant experienceKnowledge, Skills and Attitudes:Skill in collecting, organizing, and analyzing data.Ability to recognize, analyze, and solve a variety of problems.Ability to exercise sound judgment in making critical decisions.Possess good time management skills.Department Specific FunctionsResponsible for the administration of the Clinical Engineering ServiceNow Nuvolo CMMS. Manages CMMS user roles, rights and security configurations. Performs data quality audits to ensure the integrity of the CMMS database. Maintains equipment inventory management current to a 95% accuracy. Develops and implement the medical equipment inventory audit plan. Develops data analytics reports and dashboards. Actively manages the ECRI medical recalls alerts: opens, assigns, and reports status of recall WOs. Develop, monitor, and generate reports on staff productivity and benchmarking. Works with the department staff and customers to facilitate maximum use of the data in the database to improve patient safety, reduce costs, and improve customer service. Engages with the CMMS vendor, and makes requested changes to the database as needed. Responsible for training new team members on the CMMS application. Assist Clinical Engineering leadership with financial planning of capital assets. Assist with the deployment of third-party application integration. Work with other system administrators, engineers, and vendors to resolve hardware and software issues. Manages all hardware and software needs of the Clinical Engineering Department.
